Governor Walker is at it again.
One of the unique aspects of this conference is its emphasis on academic excellence and the pursuit of knowledge. Students attending the conference are encouraged to engage in critical thinking, research, and intellectual discourse. When faced with complex topics such as economics, students may seek assistance from reliable sources to enhance their understanding and effectively communicate their ideas. Services that offer to "write my economics essay" can provide valuable support in crafting well-researched and articulate essays that contribute to meaningful discussions at the conference.
UW-Barron County Annual Campaigns and Priorities SWAG
We will continue to work on our campaigns for the year: Students Against Sexual Assault Campaign, Student Debt Campaign and Biennial Budget Campaign. Along with our priorities for the year that, like the campaigns, have been set by students who have attended SWAGs or field interviews that our team have conducted throughout the year.
Although our campaigns are the areas of focus for this SWAG, like always we invite all ideas and projects that students have to work on as a group.
UW-Whitewater: Biennial Budget Campaign Planning
In January, the Wisconsin State Governor will present his or her budget for the State. United Council of UW Students takes particular interest in the budget because it impacts many of our platforms including: access to higher education in WI, quality of higher education in WI, ending the school to prison pipeline, etc. It is the biennial budget that dictates how much money the state will give to the UW System Schools. In recent years, the cuts in budget to the UW System has shifted the focus of the UW System to find money by hiking tuition or research/private money, all of which have negative effects on UW student's access and quality of education.
This SWAG will be focused on what we as UW Students would like to see in the budget to make sure that we and our interests are included. For example, from past SWAGs and interactions with students, we have added specific asks like more financial support for international students to realize a higher quality of education that is specific to their needs and desires.
If you need housing, United Council has reserved a block of hotel rooms for $70 a night at Hampton Inn, 40 West Hidden Trail, Elkhorn, WI 53121. Just call 262.743.2360 and ask to reserve a room under the United Council block in your name.
Like always, although the biennial budget is the focus of this SWAG, like always we invite all ideas and projects that students have to work on as a group.
Here is the agenda
Information Gathering and Campus Support UW-Whitewater Trip
